Brow Lift Surgery / Forehead Lift
Restore the Youthful Contour to Forehead, Upper Eyelids & Eyebrow with Brow Lift Surgery / Forehead Lift
Brow Lift or Forehead lift Surgery is the procedure to raise the eyebrows back to their normal positing, reducing the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead and wrinkle between the eyebrows.
As the aging process begins each facial feature changes, the forehead and eyebrows descent into the eyes creating a hood over the upper part of the eyes. The eyebrows appear much lower and the upper eyelid skin becomes excessive and droopy causing a loss of the once beautiful natural fold, these are the inevitable manifestations of aging – some faster than others.
Brow lift Surgery or Forehead lift reverses the effects of the loose eyelid skin and tightens the soft tissues of the forehead enhancing the appearance of the forehead skin, upper eyelids, and eyebrows.
Consider Brow Lift Surgery in the following situation-
- Sagging or low eyebrow position resulting in a grumpy or tired appearance
- Deep Crease across the forehead
- Frown lines between eyebrows or across the top of the nose
- Excess skin or tissues hanging over eyes
There are various methods of Brow Lift. In early mild situations, careful use of approved brow lift injections to selectively weaken opposing muscle pulls may temporarily improve this problem.
When all other options fail one can consider brow lift surgery which is designed to correct the droopy skin and soft tissues. This Surgery will attempt to restore the soft tissues and skin to their original position.
In the past, the traditional forehead lift involved an incision across the forehead and the freed skin and soft tissues will be advanced upwards with the removal of the excess skin so that it will be tightened.
Now we use the Endoscopic Forehead or brow lift where 3 stab incisions are made within the hairline. Using the sophisticated camera system, the skin and soft tissues are carefully freed and then advanced upwards. It is anchored in the new upward position with a dissolvable device called the Endotine anchoring system innovated by the Plastic Surgeons at Stamford University, USA. It is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that is readily acceptable to many. There is no shaving of the hair and the incision is minimum.
